Ingredients
Rollup Base & Filling
- 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough sheet (or pizza dough)
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter Glaze
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley (or Italian seasoning)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent dough sheet onto a clean work surface, pressing the seams together to form a smooth rectangle.
- Assemble: Evenly sprinkle the cooked beef mixture across the dough, followed by a generous layer of shredded cheese.
- Roll and Slice: Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Use a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss to slice the log into equal rounds.
- Arrange and Bake: Place the rollups cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Add Garlic Butter: While the rollups bake, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt together. Brush the garlic butter generously over the hot rollups right as they come out of the oven. Serve warm and enjoy!
